Orange is officially the new pink! :D I still love the colour pink but really I think Im in love with orange more! I want orange coloured hair la wtf. Shall dip-dye it when I have the cash!

& Just last week, I won myself another pair of tickets! :D This time it is to Pixie Lott’s showcase. Frankly I do not know a lot of her songs, but I know she sings pretty darn good! And it’s true! It’s really amazing when singers can really sing in real life. She’s got real talent! :)

Orite!  Im back. Mid term is over and I am PROUD to say that I think I am gonna fail! Never in my life have I walked into the exam hall without knowing anything. I guess there’s always the first time for everything! wtf.

And also I’ve started working again. HAHA, yeap. Back at my previous company as a quantity surveyor.
A part time quantity surveyor. Not sure if I can help much but I’ll try my best. :)

Another bad thing about work which I would like to add to my previous post is,

Meeting with people of different age!

Sure they are experienced with life, you get to expend your network, and whatsoever but the age gap makes a big difference. The stories they tell are based on how they have seen life, but YOU have not. Im not sure if you face this at work but almost all the time when I have lunch with a bunch of subcons, they always talk about their marriage and how it has failed,  then they talk about how people these days are so scary etc etc.

In a good way, it did change my mindset. I started viewing life in a more serious way already. I have already started feeling scared bout the future bills I have to pay, then got house to buy, then cars, then the family, and then kids , & kids’ education…. hahah if all turns out well wtf    -__________-


Then everybody is being so discouraging bout us being quantity surveyors, saying it’s a boring job, and women shouldn’t really work as QS cause must OT everyday then if you have a family sure you shit already one!
Then I also shit now cause they are making me scared and what if I am one of those who wakes up everyday feeling so shitty bout my work but I must carry on with it because THIS! IS! LIFE!  :O


Man, I would so love to meet the future me right now. Where will I be in 10 years time?

Lol! I hate blogging after travelling. Mainly cause I don’t bother to remember the exact stuff we did when we were there or the exact road we travelled to which might lead to giving wrong information to people.

Muka lansi picture to start off the entry!

Orite, so I am back from China and I have never seen so many Chinese people in my life. Everywhere I go people speak Mandarin, and their Mandarin is slightly different from our Malaysian mandarin so I had trouble speaking + understanding them while I was there.

The moment I reached Shen Zhen,  it was like 10 am in the morning.  We are such a hero cause we didn’t book a single hotel room for our 5 days stay in China / Hong Kong.
So the first thing we did was to get into the ShenZhen subway and travelled to Luo Hu from the airport cause apparently there’s a lot of hotel there?  It was about an hour ride , and I was sitting next to this Chinese guy. My family were all sitting opposite me.


& since I was so tired, I slept, but I was trying hard to not fall into deep sleep cause Im afraid I might accidentally lean my head against him or maybe embarrass myself by sleeping with my mouth wide open and then maybe start drooling all over. HAHA wtf.
Ok jokes aside. I woke up bout 10 mins later (yeap, it was a”power nap”) and we were both cool until he decided to start a conversation with me. 


I told him I didn’t understand him cause his accent too strong but he was still trying to communicate with me. I cant help but to say “huh?” all the time and act stupid   -___________-   
& then I realised I was blushing.and my uncle couldn’t stop laughing.


It was horrible. Confidence level went down max cause my mandarin was so-so in Malaysia, but it feels like Im hearing a different language when Im there. But I guess it takes time, cause after a while being there, I can actually get what they are saying.

Oh wells,
it’s never a cool thing to be a banana! Next time Im gonna hire a translator if I were to ever step into China again. Muahaha. Watch me!

Orite! So the twins complained that my blog is a lil disty here. True enough! The last time I updated was like 2 weeks ago? & I’ve lost the blogging mojo again, meh. Prolly cause nothing interesting is happening right now, except that the 3rd sem of my course just started. So that means that I’ve quit work! :)

Well, after 4 months of working, I am VERY happy to be studying again. Really.
For those who are yet to experience getting a FULL TIME job, let me tell you this :
Nothing beats studying because  :

#1 :
You have commitment and responsibilities when you’re working (duh!). You cant wake up one day feeling all lazy and tired & call up your boss to tell him that you wanna skip work, can you?
BUT,  you can do so when you’re studying! & you don’t even have to inform anyone bout it! Just please, don’t over do it! ;)

PART-TIMERS on the other hand, have flexible working hours, so uh, that doesn’t really count you see.

 

#2 :
YOUR HOURS ARE FIXED!
Well,  for my job it is! I am stuck in the office from 9am-5pm with 1 hour break!
Thankfully my bosses are pretty flexible on the timing. As in, they are ok with us coming tad bit late from lunch. So Im really happy with  that! :)
Well other than that 1 hour lunch break, I have to SIT in the office and FACE THE COMPUTER like the whole day. Makes your eyes get very watery and tired. & that’s why I look half dead when Im back from work. IT’S THE EYES.

And at times, I have work with a laptop and a computer at the same time.
Autocad on the laptop, and keying numbers on the comp. Double the eye power.

With studies,  it’s so much more relaxed! :) I have no classes on Fri & sometimes I only have afternoon classes so that simply means I can sleep late & wake up a lil later than usual! :)



So yeah, those are the 2 main reasons why working sucks, to me. But what motivated me to work is seeing both my parents waking up early to work everyday!
If working for FOUR months is tiring, can you imagine your parents waking up to work everyday tryna earn a living for you kids?
I told my friend that I wanted to quit work by the end of Feb, so I can have 1 month of holiday before Uni starts but nah. My parents have been working everyday and they don’t even have 1 month of break also.    -.-

So this is just a lil reminder to you people out there to enjoy your school life! Seriously missing high school now! But Uni life ain’t that bad as well. I am counting down to the days where I’ll be a working adult and that’s about 1.5 more years. Till then, don’t be surprised that I’ll be ranting bout work everyday (If this blog still exist)

Everything seem to be moving way too fast , and not to mention weird as well! :)
It’s the final two weeks with the company and to be honest, I have learned so so much about being a quantity surveyor! My colleagues are more than just a working partner, they are my friends as well (except that we have communication prob sometimes cause they speak very deep chinese   -.-) and just a few days ago, we (Ivan and I) helped them to shift to a newer and a bigger office! I feel really useless there cause no one seem to need my help prolly cause im a girl!   :O
It’s a new beginning for everyone! :)

Also, they had like a mini farewell dinner for Ivan and I at Bangkok Jam just yesterday! and right before that, I went to Levain’s!

AND then there’s Jessie J’s concert! Man I tell you! That woman is SUPER AWESOME!
I only know 2 songs and the reason why I went to her concert is cause there’s this “buy one free one” promo!
BUT still, when I was there I was admiring her powerful voice! & she’s so energetic and so down to Earth!
